Police issued an Amber Alert this morning for four Lynn children after their father, whom police want to question in connection with a homicide, allegedly kidnapped his girlfriend and the children.
The children were last seen at 1 a.m. at 99 High Rock Road, the scene of a homicide, and are believed to be traveling with their parents, Rodlyn Petitbois, 25, and mother, Louna Eveillard, 26.
State Police spokesman David Procopio said police believe Eveillard was also kidnapped.
The family may be traveling in a white 1992 Buick Roadmaster sedan with the Massachusetts license plate: 91EW79, police say.
Police say the children were abducted with their mother following the 1 a.m. murder at the High Rock Road house.
“This is following on the heels of a homicide this morning,” Procopio said. “Rodlyn Petitbois is potentially armed and is considered dangerous.”
Authorities tell the Herald a 32-year-old woman was killed at the High Rock multi-family home in Lynn. Lynn police have scheduled a press conference for this afternoon.
Neighbors who spoke to the Herald say they did not hear any shots ring out last night.
“I’m in shock especially since it’s someone I knew,” said a 38-year-old grocery store owner at the scene who said he had sold food to the family.
When asked if the children were in danger, Procopio replied: “Based on the totality of the circumstances, yes.”
Petitbois, who is black, has black hair worn in corn rows and a beard. His wife is black and has a slender build and short hair and is of Haitian descent. Eveillard is believed to have a significant fresh injury on one of her hands.
The couple is traveling in an unknown car, Procopio said.
Procopio said police are worried about the safety of Ryan Petitbois, 3, Lyndsey Petitbois, 2, Lauren Petitbois, 22 months old, and Roddick Petitbois, 11 months old.
Procopio said it is unclear if the parents have custody of the children.
