One wonders if the lawsuits were family Victim implemented, or Lawyer initiated in what some may perceive Vulture picking clean the bones of the tainted carcass of Maple Leaf foods.
Certainly the victims deserve compensation, but I am curious that a law firm group a thousand miles away two provinces over makes the media as this Law Group state publicly they are going to represent all Canadians in such a fashion. I do not know what is more tragic, a century old meat company which may lose everything or a Law Group which will ensure they do and to the victor go the spoils, the victor being the Law Group and the lucrative money this Law Group stand to make on the “Listeria Hysteria”! List of recalled Maple Leaf products

OTTAWA – A class-action lawsuit has been launched against Maple Leaf Foods after a link was confirmed between deli meats processed at its Toronto plant and a food-borne bacterium linked to at least six deaths in Canada.
The lawsuit, filed in Ottawa by the Regina-based Merchant Law Group, is on behalf of 300 consumers across the country.
When reached Tuesday morning, a spokeswoman for Maple Leaf Foods declined to comment. On Monday, federal public health authorities confirmed a total of twelve deaths have been linked to an outbreak of listeriosis.
Six of those cases have been connected to the particular bacteria strain found at Maple Leaf Foods while the remaining six deaths are currently under investigation.
Eleven deaths were in Ontario and one was in British Columbia, the Public Health Agency of Canada confirmed at a news conference.
