Canada’s Jazz Airline, removes Life Vests to Save Fuel on it’s Coastal ROutes.

Opinion

Barry Artiste

Jazz Airlines which flies along the coastal routes of Newfoundland, has made an environmental decision to save fuel by removing all life jackets from it’s planes.

Jazz Airline, and off shoot of Air Canada one can assume where you are charged for every convenience, from pillows to peanut snacks, and by the way bring your own sandwich, cause ours cost $8.00 for a P&J, may even refuse passengers bringing their own life vest, as fuel savings and weight are the corporate mantra of environmentalism.

Certainly a reflection of cost saving measures over passenger safety when profit lines are razor thin to remain viable.

Times they are a changin, and it don’t look good.

No word whether those $1.99 plastic WalMart water wings will be used as a replacement, if any?
