Now let’s see, which Cultural or Special interest group would be so incensed by freedom of the press, H-m-m-m-m, now would it be I dare say, PETA?….MMMM… No! Would it MAAD, NAW, not them……… Vegans against BBQ? Wow, this is a poser?

Wait a minute, I am sure Now Public Readers know you don’t need to be a Rocket Scientist to figure out who would wish the Press to be curtailed permanently !!

You know, perhaps Alice Cooper said it best in his song “Welcome to my Nightmare”, certainly speaks of one aspect when Freedom of the Press is curtailed by any special interest group, one wonders what will next on Canadian Democracy?

A Democracy and Freedom our countrymen and women and our ancestors fought and died for?

Certainly they did not fight and die for this!

News media all over the world must see this as a first step in taking away out right to free speech, what one sees as discrimination, many see as truth, and let’s face it sometimes Truth hurts.  Many countries which suffered under communism or dictators, now are starting to get a taste of journalistic freedom, a freedom we all take for granted and if not careful we will lose on print type at a time.

I am posting photos of those who now have freedom and some who do not have that freedom to decide for themselves what is real and what is farcical, certainly taking a readers right to choose and know what is going on around them is censorship.   This Alan Whyte sounds like some insipid twit who love to overtax a burdened Human Rights Tribunal is complaints from someone doesn’t like my face, to a persons food offends me.

Yep, certainly more idiocy to come if this Brain Fart ever gets into any elected or appointed office.

Freedom of press within limits: lawyer

Joseph Brean,

Published: Monday, August 18, 2008

A candidate for one of the top jobs at the new Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario told a government committee yesterday he thinks print journalism should be subject to racial discrimination complaints.

Alan Whyte, a veteran employer-side labour lawyer, told an all-party panel vetting the two dozen government nominees that he supports the media’s broad freedom to report stories “as they see fit.”

“Having said that, if there is some sort of discrimination that comes out in the reporting that is arguably contrary to the code, then I would also feel that it would be open to a complainant to challenge the reporting as being discriminatory on the grounds of race,” said the candidate for vice-chair.
