Tow truck driver banned from driving commercial vehicles, goes into diabetic shock and runs over 2 year old in a stroller, claims it is not his fault, but low blood sugar. How convienient!
VANCOUVER — The man who drove the tow truck that killed a two-year-old girl at a downtown Vancouver intersection Wednesday is an insulin-dependent diabetic whose condition has caused him to fall asleep on the job, according to public documents.
The girl’s mother, who was also injured, was in intensive care on Friday.
“She has very serious injuries, and her condition is day-to-day right now,” McGuinness said. “Her condition is being monitored very closely.”
Bing Chong Mah said Thursday that his son, William Mah, was the driver of the truck. Police have not yet confirmed the driver’s identity.
