John McCain: candidate is trending upward from January 7th at 19% points, High Flag since Win in South Carolina to Jan 27 of 31% We expect candidate to remain trending upward to 34% On election day with a margin of error of 3% points.
Mitt Romney: Trending upward from January 7th at 18% points. High Point January 26th at 33%. Expect to trend down 1-3% by election day to 31%
Rudy Giuliani: Trending downward from high of 20% on January 23rd. Trend will continue to 16%
Mike Huckabee: Head and Shoulders Top on Jan 23rd. Trending upward 14%
Ron Paul: Tend up to 6%

WASHINGTON (AP) – John McCain’s support from Republican moderates, Hispanics and Florida’s numerous older voters helped lift him to victory in Florida’s GOP presidential primary on Tuesday. Mitt Romney relied on solid support from conservatives and people troubled by illegal immigration and abortion, but could not persuade voters he would guide the country out of its economic slump.

MIAMI (AP) – John McCain solidified his status as the front-runner for the Republican presidential nomination with a Florida triumph, his candidacy coming full circle in little more than a year.
“It shows one thing. I’m the conservative leader who can unite the party,” the Arizona senator said in a brief interview with The Associated Press.
He was hesitant to give himself a label and was mindful of the challenges ahead, saying: “It’s a very significant boost, but I think we’ve got a tough week ahead and a lot of states to come.”
Still, McCain heads into next week’s 20-plus contests, including mega-delegate states California and New York, with an enormous amount of momentum after two straight wins.
It was McCain’s first-ever primary win in a state that allowed only Republicans to vote. His previous victories, in New Hampshire and South Carolina this year, and in two states in 2000 came in elections open to independents.

Lieberman: No VP run with McCain

WASHINGTON — Sen. Joe Lieberman, an independent who nearly won the vice presidency as a Democrat in 2000, says there’s no way he’ll be Republican Sen. John McCain’s running mate should McCain become the party’s presidential nominee.

“No, I’d tell him, ‘Thanks, John, I’ve been there, I’ve done that. You can find much better,”‘ Lieberman told the Associated Press during an interview Tuesday in his Senate office. “I’m not seeking anything else.”

McCain Leads Romney in Tight Fla. Race

MIAMI (AP) – John McCain edged ahead of Mitt Romney in the Florida primary Tuesday night, a battle for the biggest delegate prize to date as well as precious campaign momentum heading into next week’s competition across more than 20 states.
Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee trailed, each struggling to remain relevant in a campaign about to explode into a coast-to-coast chase for delegates on Feb. 5.
The Florida winner stood to gain all 57 national convention delegates at stake. More than 1,000 will be awarded next week in primaries and caucuses.
Returns from 32 percent of the state’s precincts showed McCain with 34 percent of the vote and Romney with 33.
