In a Press Conference Moments ago, Speaker Madigan, stated, “It is my intention to appoint a special committee to begin immediately an investigation into the governor’s conduct in office and to undertake the preparatory work that is a prerequisite to an impeachment proceeding in the Illinois House,” .
It is the Intention of the Speaker to put together a bi-partisan committee quickly. Some party insiders are saying that the Governor may resign on Tuesday and that an impeachment proceeding may move him along.
