This would certainly go a long way in appeasing both sides of the pro and con on immigration.
Immigrants can fit in without loss of identity: Kenney

CALGARY — Immigration Minister Jason Kenney wants to see more of an effort made to integrate immigrants into Canadian society. He repeated earlier comments that immigrants seeking to become Canadians should be able to communicate in French or English. He said they shouldn’t be granted citizenship unless they have proper language skills.
