Boy this story is sure getting old, almost two years since the last report, it seems everything you slam down your Gullet comes from China, and worries about obesity killing you, pales in comparison to what the long term damage Chemicals which seems to be every Chinese Food suppliers send your way for that Low, Low Price Consumers demand, whether it kills you or not.
Melamine, an industrial chemical, in infants can lead to kidney failure.
To say the Chinese Government is not complicit in all this, is like saying, Saddam Hussein is the New Messiah and the Second Coming. Governments and Manufacturers in North America, Europe and other countries who continually allow this to happen endlessly to us, the consumer are just as complicit when proof positive shows it wont end EVER when profit is the bottom line!
Short of writing to your politician or manufacturer, perhaps a Nationwide Boycotting and Letter writing campaigns may be a step in the right direction when Manufacturers start losing customers and money.
Who knows what the long term health effects on us and our children will be, for one, it wont be pretty, that is a given.
Just wait till Halloween, one can be certain Candies are next on the Health Hit List.

Two varieties of coated pretzels made in China have been taken off of Ontario store shelves after testing positive for the harmful chemical compound melamine.
Forty-gram packages of OK OK-brand Kaiser Strawberry Dressing Pretzels and 50-g packs of Kaiser Chocolate Dressing Pretzels were found to have traces of melamine and were subsequently recalled, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced Wednesday.
The products, distributed by Dai Jung Distributing of Scarborough, Ont., have been distributed throughout Ontario, a CFIA statement said. No illnesses have been reported from ingesting the pretzels.
