May Fund Raising Numbers show McCain Raising larger Sums

Looks Like John McCain has learned how to raise money in a jiffy. Once running a campaign under extreme financial difficulties and almost a drop out with clearing away every bit of excessive waste in his campaign as possible. The whole process looks like a John McCain Biography of his congressional activities. Cut the pork and prosper.
On The Flip side, Obama’s Robust campaign funding has been on fire from the beginning and now appears to be tapering off a bit. One wonders how long Obama’s supporters can give if they are in financial hardship as he relates on the campaign trail.
The fund-raising gap between Senators John McCain and Barack Obama narrowed in May as they raised nearly the same amount of money and ended the month in similar cash positions.
For Mr. McCain, of Arizona, it was one of his best fund-raising months, with $21.8 million coming in from individual donors and from three joint Republican fund-raising dinners. For Mr. Obama, of Illinois, it was one of his weaker months, drawing $21.9 million.

Republican John McCain raised more money in Georgia last month than Barack Obama, but the Democrat still holds a commanding lead in Peach State dollars.

Libertarian presidential nominee Bob Barr of Smyrna, meanwhile, raised a total of more than $184,000 from March 27 through May 31, according to his first required report to the FEC. Of that, about $22,000 came from Georgia, which he represented in Congress for four terms as a Republican.
