When the South Carolina General Assembly adjourned for it’s Summer Recess, it did so with a provision to call itself back into session in the event important issues arise that needed action prior to the regular sessions start on January 12th.
State lawmakers will be returning to Columbia on Tuesday, October 27 to extended unemployment benefits for an additional seven weeks. While they are in session, Rep. Greg Delleney R- Chester says he will introduce a resolution that will begin impeachment proceedings on Governor Mark Sanford. “I can’t sit in the General Assembly and allow his conduct to go without any consequences,” Delleney told a local television station.
