One problem with the Cash for Clunkers program is it takes cheap cars off the street for poor folks. The program essentially makes every car, no matter the condition, worth $4500.00. By doing so those of modest means cannot find an automobile for a better price. Now with the directive to chemically destroy the vehicles, the reasonable used car market is destroyed as well. In addition, this program makes engine car parts scarce as well.
This program is just another example of a poorly thought out program that does not help the poor.

Seems like the working Talking point to diminish the impact of the nearly 500,000 who participated in the Tax Day Tea Parties is to call the movement an Astro-Turf (Fake Grassroots) event. Nancy Pelosi related this to reporters. She stated the tea party events are being funded by BIG Business and New Corp.
The Columbia, South Carolina Tax Day Tea Party at the State House drew nearly 3000 people, six times the original estimates. Here is a cross section of Videos from Various perspectives of the event. Speakers included Event coordinator Britton Clark a Local Realtor, Bill Connor candidate for Lt. Governor, Senator Jim DeMint, Governor Mark Sanford, Sheri Few President & CEO and co-founder of South Carolina Parents Involved in Education (SC PIE) , and Ken Hoagland National Communications Director of FairTax.org. Politisite live streamed the event for Breitbart TV The B-Cast with Scott Baker and Liz Stephans, Politisite, Iron Mill News, and several other sites that embeded the video stream. The Political Polling site, FiveThirtyEight, put Columbia’s Tea Party in the top twenty five out of 306 Tea Parties where data was available.
