Politics in South Carolina has been liken unto a Opera possibly something from the Marriage of Figaro.  The Governor, Mark Sanford, plays the carousing Husband who plans a getaway to see his mistress in Argentina.  He uses a diversionary technique to throw off those who would out the antics of the leader who leads a double life.  The scorned wife, Jenny Sanford, leaks information to the town squires so all in the land can hear of the leader of the South’s dishonesty toward the land. Act I.

Act II –  The Commoner

Congressman Joe Wilson, screams out for all to hear, the Emperor has no cloths”.  All in the land attack this little one because of course the emperor wears the very best clothing and by this clothing it is evidence of his Kingship.

Act III- The Newberry Opera, The Debate on who would replace the leader

After all the State has been through, how ironic that the first in the State gubernatorial Debate would take place inside an Opera House.   Will it be a Comedy? a Tragedy?  Who knows the outcome of a Five Act Play in the Third Act?

Using a new law he pushed through the General Assembly, McMaster launched a statewide Internet Predator Task Force made up of over fifty local, state and federal law enforcement authorities to run undercover stings targeting predators over the Internet.
