Trump Harris Debate Confirmed for September 10

Former President Donald Trump has announced his acceptance of an invitation from ABC News to engage in a debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on September 10. This announcement was made during a press conference held at his Mar-a-Lago Club on Thursday.

“I am eager for the debates as it is essential to clarify the facts,” Trump stated. Vice President Harris also confirmed her participation, expressing her anticipation for the event during a press briefing on Thursday evening. “I am pleased that he has finally agreed to debate on September 10. I look forward to it and hope he will be present,” she remarked to reporters at a Detroit airport.

Previously, Trump had expressed his willingness to debate President Joe Biden and had accepted ABC’s initial invitation in May. However, following Biden’s withdrawal from the race last month and Harris’s emergence as the presumptive Democratic nominee, Trump suggested he might not participate in a debate against Harris on ABC. Harris has accused Trump of being “afraid” and attempting to withdraw from the debate.
